Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) is a community theater and event space located in historic Old Town Peoria. The managing tenant is TheaterWorks, a 501(c)(3) non-profit theater company that produces more than 200 events a year for audiences of all ages. TheaterWorks’ calendar includes live theater, concerts, dance performances, comedy, kids events, and much more. It is also home to a city art gallery and hosts the Second Saturdays music series. Peoria Center for the Performing Arts is a tremendous asset to Peoria, providing arts and cultural enrichment to the community.

In 2007 the City of Peoria completed construction of the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA). The $13 million facility was designed by the architectural firm Westlake Reed Leskosky. The PCPA is a joint venture with the City of Peoria and Theater Works.
Theater Works, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, serves as the anchor tenant and creates engaging theatrical and educational experiences, and manages the 20,000 square foot facility. The Peoria Center for the Performing Arts consists of a 274 seat main stage auditorium, a flexible 60 seat black box theater, two classrooms, an elegant lobby, dressing rooms, backstage support areas, and office space for Theater Works.
The citizens of Peoria understand the importance the arts have on economic development, and the intrinsic impact that the arts have on the quality of life in Peoria. The Peoria Center for the Performing Arts brings award winning theater to the downtown area, as well as a variety of arts experiences, youth programming, summer camps, and special events throughout the year.
