The AZ Swing Kings is a 19-piece big band including a vocalist. The group consists of professional all-star musicians who play the authentic sounds of the famous bands who represented the swing and jazz eras. The band is directed by Jim Lee. The Swing Kings are available to provide music for shows, dances, and entertainment for public and private events. Now accepting dates in 2024, and 2025.

We feature wonderful vocal and instrumental soloists - performing in a band that we think is the best in the Phoenix West Valley!

The 23-24 season marks the 38th season for TheaterWorks, which produces full seasons of theater (Main Stage series)r, youth theater (Youth Works), youth education camps and classes (Theater Alive and Summer Works) and more.
TheaterWorks welcomes thousands of school-aged youth to field trip performances, hundreds of young people to its Youth Works Academy classes and camps, more than a hundred young people to its stages, and drawing more families that ever before to the programming offered by TheaterWorks.
As the managing tenant of the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, TheaterWorks helps support a diverse range of programming, from local musicians, dance companies, story-telling projects, improv theater and comedians to community events. More than 63,000 members of the community walked through the doors of the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts this past year through a myriad of programming, performances and festivals.
Theater Works has received numerous awards, including the West Valley Arts Council’s 2015 Champion of the Arts Award, the “Uniquely Peorian” Award from the Peoria Chamber of Commerce, “Not-for Profit Partner of the Year” by the Peoria Unified School District and many ariZoni Awards for Theatre Excellence over the years. TheaterWorks also received the 2014 Nonprofit Collaboration Award from the Peoria Education Foundation.

TheaterWorks was honored to be selected as the 2019 recipient of its Arts Advocate Organization Award by the National Society of Arts & Letters, Greater Arizona Chapter for the outstanding work TheaterWorks has done with the creation and continuation of its Adaptive Works program.
C.W. McMillin Executive Director, Chris Hamby, was awarded the Governor’s Arts Award in the Artist category in 2020 for his body of work. Additionally, he was named the Home Town Hero-Trailblazer for his accomplishments in the city of Peoria.
